Welcome to The Wicko,

The Wicko is one of the few family run and owned hotels left in Newcastle. The Lawrence family are born and bred in this great town, and have been involved in the hotel industry since the mid 1970’s. That’s probably why The Wicko has become a great Novocastrian family friendly hotel, with an entertainment emphasis on supporting the fantastic original local music the Hunter has to offer.
A weekly favourite for all muse’s are the Wicko Jams, every Wednesday from 7pm. Come alone or bring the band(drum kit supplied), and whatever your age, ‘‘Get outta the shed and onto the stage’‘. The 1st Wednesday of the month is run by ‘‘Rosie’s school of rock’‘ which gives the kids a chance to really show off in front of their family and peers.
Live entertainment is from Wednesday to Sunday evenings, plus Saturday from 5-8pm and Sunday from 1pm in the beer garden. Great family times!
Friday and Saturdays bands play up till 1am and we are open til at least 2am.
